Alternate Universe

Alternate Universe is a comic book store with locations in New Haven and Milford, Connecticut. The New Haven shop on Chapel Street has been open since 1996 and carries new comic books, back issues, trade paperbacks, graphic novels, manga, underground and small press titles, and comic and card supplies. Both stores stock booster packs and starter decks for Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, and Yu-Gi-Oh!, and the Milford store on Bridgeport Avenue also sells CBCS graded comics.

Special orders are welcome at both locations, and the store asks customers to keep shipping dates and final order cutoff dates in mind. New comic books arrive every Wednesday, barring shipping problems or holidays. The shop also hosts Coffee & Comics events and takes part in Free Comic Book Day and an annual donation drive that starts November 1. Sideshow Collectibles statues and figures can be special ordered at either store.
