Thrift stores funding job training across Southern Oregon11 W Jackson St., Medford, OR

Southern Oregon Goodwill is a nonprofit that runs thrift retail stores and donation centers and uses the proceeds to fund job training and placement. Its GoodWorks program offers paid, on-the-job training and support services for people facing barriers to employment, and it also runs job connection services and a dependent scholarship fund for families of its staff. Shoppers and donors help fund these programs by buying and giving used household goods.
The organization serves Jackson, Klamath, Douglas, and Josephine counties in Oregon and Siskiyou County in California. Its Job Connection Center is at 11 W Jackson St. in Medford, where monthly Story Behind the Store tours are held on the third Thursday of each month. Donations can be dropped off at local donation locations, and a mobile donation trailer also collects items.
