McKinney Gundogs

McKinney Gundogs trains sporting dogs in the owner's home, with a focus on calm, reliable gundogs built on a three-phase method. The flagship program is a flat-fee obedience board and train, about three weeks for $1,500, covering heel, recall, place, sit and down, crate conditioning and house manners. Gundog phases follow for dogs that continue, and one-on-one field sessions are available for owners who prefer to do the work themselves. The program also includes Labrador breeding from proven UK field-trial lines, with a Spring 2027 litter on a waitlist.

Dogs live in the trainer's home on a set routine and are taken on by one trainer from drop-off to pickup, with two to three dogs at a time. Owners get progress updates and a take-home handling session at pickup. The business serves McKinney and the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and works by appointment. Requests for an evaluation are reviewed before any commitment, and the trainer will recommend another option if a dog is not a fit.
