Foundation Academy

Foundation Academy is a Montessori early childhood program offering infant, toddler, primary and after-school care for children from six weeks to 12 years old. The school follows the Montessori curriculum and blends it with Reggio Emilia and Steiner ideas, with art, imaginary play, and learning centers for math, language, practical life, sensorial, and science and geography.

Children are grouped in mixed ages, and the school serves morning and afternoon snacks and lunch, which families can also pack from home. Extracurricular offerings include cooking, music and movement, art, and gardening. Daycare runs weekdays from 7 AM to 6 PM, and staff are either Montessori trained or hold a degree, with background checks for all staff. The school is at 4901 Arroyo Trail in McKinney.
