Slow-smoked Texas barbecue, brisket and the Texas Twinkie1301 N Tennessee St, McKinney, TX

Hutchins BBQ smokes brisket, ribs and sides low and slow in the Texas tradition, and it is credited with inventing the Texas Twinkie, a bacon-wrapped jalapeño stuffed with brisket. The family's roots go back to 1978, when Roy and Delores Hutchins opened a barbecue restaurant at their home in Princeton, and the McKinney and Frisco restaurants are the original locations, still run by the family. Texas Monthly has listed the restaurant among its Top 50 BBQ joints for over a decade.
The McKinney dining room is open daily, and the Frisco location is a sister restaurant. Catering covers weddings, corporate events and family gatherings across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and delivery runs through UberEats and DoorDash. Brisket seasoning, sauces and rubs can be bought in the online shop, and smoked brisket and ribs ship nationwide.
