Dental Staff School

Dental Staff School trains people to become registered dental assistants, combining classroom lectures with hands-on clinical, radiographic and administrative training in a real dental office. The school also offers shorter courses in areas such as radiology and safety, expanded duties, nitrous oxide monitoring, coronal polishing, sealant placement, orthodontics, office administration, BLS CPR and OSHA bloodborne pathogens. Its first graduating class was in 2006, and it reports more than 2,500 dental assistants graduated since then.

The main program runs about 10 weeks, with lectures during the week and clinical instruction on Saturdays, which suits students who are working or caring for family. Classes are held four times a year, in January, March, July and September. Besides the Marietta office, the school has locations in Knoxville, Tennessee and Newnan, Georgia, and students can arrange individualized payment options.
