The Oleander Saloon

The Oleander Saloon is a bar in Mankato that has been part of the Minnesota music scene since the early 1990s through its What's Up Lounge. It draws fans of punk, rock, metal, hardcore, blues, rockabilly, hip-hop, experimental and jam bands, and it serves Heggies Pizza, which the saloon promotes as a late-night favorite.

The building was newly remodeled, with tiled floors and a bar top of Cambria counter with custom woodwork, while keeping an old-town feel. The bar is 21 and over. It is on North Riverfront Drive in Mankato, and it is open daily, with afternoon hours on weekdays and later hours on weekends.
