Heartland Imaging

Heartland Imaging is an outpatient radiology center offering MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, X-ray, bone density testing and 3D mammography. Its focus is affordable imaging without giving up expertise, and the center points to lower outpatient pricing, with one bill and no separate facility fee, compared with hospital-based exams. Large-bore and 3T MRI are among the equipment it lists.

There are three locations: two on Louisville's Dixie Highway and Shelbyville Road, and one on Woodland Drive in Elizabethtown. Mammography, bone density and breast ultrasound are handled at the Shelbyville Road center, while the Dixie Highway site offers MRI, CT, ultrasound and X-ray. MRI and CT can be scheduled in the evenings or on weekends by appointment, and exams are read by board-certified radiologists. Scheduling calls are taken on weekdays during business hours, and the centers also handle medical records requests through ChartSwap.
