Family Health Centers

Family Health Centers is a not-for-profit community health center offering primary and preventive care for people of all ages, along with pediatrics, women's health, immediate care, pharmacy, counseling and dental services. It is a federally qualified health center, so care is offered on a sliding-fee scale for patients who are uninsured or have trouble paying.

The main clinical site is on Portland Avenue in the Portland neighborhood of Louisville, in a historic campus that once housed the U.S. Marine Service Hospital. Satellite sites are located across the city and county, including services for people experiencing homelessness and for refugees and immigrants. Support services include language interpreters, case management, transportation help and assistance signing up for insurance.
