Beacon House Thrift Shop

Beacon House Thrift Shop sells donated clothing, furniture, and household goods, priced 50 to 75 percent below retail. Every sale helps fund a free, long-term substance use treatment program for men, and the shop gives paid work experience to men who have graduated from that program. Shoppers look for furniture, fashion, vintage pieces, and brand-name items, and the stock changes often.

The Long Beach store is on East Anaheim Street, and a second shop is in San Pedro. Donors can schedule free pickup for gently used items, and haul services remove items the shop can't accept. Walk-in donations are taken during store hours. A loyalty program gives 3% back on purchases, and some items can be bought online.
