Shamus Restaurant has been serving Lockport since 1950, according to its history, and the current owner has run it since 1990 with Chef Dave Stoll Jr. The menu is contemporary cuisine with house specialties, and the restaurant cures, brines and smokes its own meats. It is a licensed Certified Angus Beef steakhouse and sources products from New York State where it can. Pizza nights on Tuesdays bring Detroit-style pies for takeout or dining in.

The restaurant has two dining rooms and a second floor Private Dining Room, and it hosts private parties on Saturday afternoons, Sundays and Mondays for up to 60 guests. The attached CopperTop Tap Room has craft cocktails, local draft beer, wine and Irish-style decor. Shamus is at 98 West Avenue in Lockport, and most menu items can be modified for dietary needs.
