Blue Moon Acres

Blue Moon Acres is a small public horse stable offering guided horseback trail rides in the Hocking Hills. The stable focuses on individuals, couples and small groups of one to four adult or older teen riders, with a more personal experience than large mixed group rides. Riders are taught the basics and encouraged to take an active part in controlling their horse, and rides may include short trots, gaits and a canter depending on trail conditions and rider skill.

Rides are by appointment only and ideally booked a day or more in advance, with no walk-ins or drive-ins. The stable is open April through November and rides run Wednesday through Saturday and some Sundays. Novice riders must be 18 or older, and the stable has no small horses or saddles. Gift certificates are available, and the business is located at 18920 Keifel Road in Laurelville.
