Wandering Tree Estate

Wandering Tree Estate is an event venue in North Barrington, Illinois, set on ten acres of landscaped gardens with a four-acre lake. Its outdoor garden railway runs working model trains, and an indoor Model Railroad Museum sits on the grounds. Weddings are the main draw, along with corporate meetings, anniversaries, engagements, bridal showers and private celebrations of every kind.

The estate is private and gated, and it offers several separate garden settings for each type of event, including the Grove and the Japanese Garden. Chicago residents can reach it by car in a short drive from the city. Tours of the grounds are arranged by appointment through the event manager, and the venue books events up to 12 to 16 months in advance.
