Kit's Rare Coins

Kit's Rare Coins buys and appraises coins, coin collections, paper money, gold and silver, diamonds, scrap jewelry, and Rolex and pocket watches. John Barrett, known as Kit, has worked with coins and collectibles for over 40 years, and the shop offers consultation on investment-grade and collectible coins, historical research on coins, and consignment for coins, antiques, and pocket watches. Coins are graded and certified through PCGS, ANA, and NGC standards.

Appraisals are free for coin collections, scrap jewelry, and diamonds. Customers need to call to make an appointment, since the shop does not keep coins or precious metals on display for security reasons. The office is on Oak Ridge Highway in Knoxville, and the business serves customers across East Tennessee. The shop does not work with minor error coins or coins listed for sale on Etsy.
