T-Bone Tom's

T-Bone Tom's is a barbecue restaurant that started as Kemah Meat Market in the 1960s and became T-Bone Tom's Bar B Que in 1974. The kitchen smokes brisket, ribs and homemade sausage over oak and cuts its own steaks. Armadillo eggs are hand battered and never frozen, and hamburger meat is ground in house. The menu also includes seafood, chicken fried steak, gumbo and Southern sides, all made fresh daily.

Live music plays six nights a week in the dining room, and the separate Tom's Back Yard hosts the same music scene in an outdoor setting. Dinner and lunch are served daily, with later hours on Friday and Saturday. The restaurant sits on Highway 146 in Kemah, Texas, and takeout orders can be placed online or by phone.
