Preserving Katy history through historic homes and park5990 George Bush Drive, Katy, TX

Katy Heritage Society preserves and displays the history of Katy and nearby areas. Its main site, Katy Heritage Park, holds five historic Katy structures and a bandstand. The historic homes are furnished with period-appropriate items, and some have stood in Katy for over 100 years.
The historic homes are generally open for free tours on the first Saturday and Sunday of each month from noon to 4 PM, with donations appreciated. Groups of 10 to 50 can arrange a private tour by email, with donations required. The park grounds are open from dawn until dusk, and the gazebo is a good spot for a picnic. The society also runs the MKT Depot Museum at 5615 1st Street in Katy, which is a separate location.
