Deerwood Country Club is a private club in Jacksonville, known for its golf course, which was originally designed in 1960 by George Cobb. The course is being redesigned under architect Erik Larsen, with a longer 7,350-yard layout and a new six-hole short course planned for mid-2026. The club has hosted the Greater Jacksonville Open, and members also use six Har-Tru tennis courts, four pickleball courts, a fitness center and an infinity-edge pool and spa.
Membership is required, and prospective members arrange a tour by phone. The clubhouse has a family dining room called 1960, Sam's Place, an adult-only bar with live music on weekends, and Food Truck Mondays. Weddings, golf outings and private banquets are hosted in the clubhouse and pool areas, with an events team that handles planning from start to finish.
