Iowa Recovery Room

Iowa Recovery Room is a health and wellness center built around float therapy, a form of sensory deprivation done in a private float tank. The center also offers dry and infrared sauna sessions, which it describes as a way to warm up and relax, along with cold water therapy and yoga and Pilates. Float sessions are the main focus, and first-time visitors can ask questions before booking.

All services are by appointment, and the posted schedule changes from day to day, with evening hours on several weekdays and shorter weekend hours. Cancellations need 24 hours notice, or a 50% fee applies, and missed appointments are charged in full. Gift cards are available, and service credits never expire. The center is at 1509 Mall Drive on Iowa City's south side, near Sycamore Mall.
