Elevation HomeBuilders

Elevation HomeBuilders is a locally owned company in Iowa City that builds custom new homes and handles remodels and additions. The firm was founded by Amy Pretorius and Nate Knause, and its in-house designers work alongside carpenters so the design and the build follow the same plan. Services cover architectural review, full interior design, finish and furniture selection, and turnkey installation for a home that is ready to move into.

Projects typically begin with detailed drawings and finish selections, with cost estimates provided before construction starts. A project superintendent oversees the build, and clients are kept informed throughout. The company also works with outside architects on remodels, and the team has earned several Builder's Excellence and People's Choice awards.
