Progressive Midwest cooking with a seasonal tasting menu601 E New York St, Indianapolis, IN

Vida is a progressive restaurant in Indianapolis that builds its menu around the farms and seasons of the Midwest. Chef Thomas Melvin cooks familiar American ingredients with precise technique and accents drawn from around the world, and the menu changes often with what is in season. Jared May leads the wine program, which covers many regions and styles with particular depth in Burgundy and California.
Dinner is offered in two formats: a 7-course tasting menu and a 4-course prix fixe where each course has two to four choices. The whole table must choose the same menu. Vida sits in the historic Lockerbie neighborhood at 601 E New York St, and it is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday. Gift cards are available on the website, and reservations can be made online.
