The Exchange

The Exchange is a bar on Massachusetts Avenue at the gateway to the Mass Ave. Arts District in downtown Indianapolis. It occupies the Hammond Block, a building from 1874 that is one of the oldest original buildings still standing in the city. The bar puts its emphasis on skilled bartending and has a full bar on its underground level, which is also used for private events.

The underground space suits everything from intimate gatherings to large celebrations, and event inquiries can be made through the website. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Parties of eight or more have an 18% gratuity added to the bill. The bar is open Monday through Thursday until midnight and Friday and Saturday until 2 a.m., and it is closed on Sundays.
