Kahai Kitchen

Kahai Kitchen is a Honolulu plate lunch restaurant that started in 2006 as a catering company focused on weddings and private events. Its plate lunches include local favorites along with creative versions of beef, chicken, seafood, pork and lamb, and the menu also includes vegetarian and healthy options such as pan-seared chicken breast, kalbi cobb salad and charbroiled fish. Daily specials rotate, and Saturdays bring breakfast all day.

Most of the restaurant business is takeout, and you can phone in an order for pickup when you arrive. Catering covers weddings, birthday parties, corporate functions, office parties and sporting events, with onsite service available. The restaurant sits across from Mo'ili'ili Neighborhood Park on Coolidge Street, with a small parking lot and street parking. Gift certificates are available.
