Chef Chai

Chef Chai is an island bistro on Kapiolani Boulevard known for Asian-inspired seafood and fusion dishes. Signature items include a Hamakua mushroom and black truffle arancini, smoked duck breast tacos, and a crispy whole fresh fish served three ways. The menu also covers curries, Thai-style oxtail, filet mignon and a long list of vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Dinner is served Wednesday through Sunday, with later hours on Thursday through Saturday, and the restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Reservations can be made through the website, and online ordering, gift cards and catering are also offered. The restaurant hosts monthly wine dinners, a full moon concert series and a weekday happy hour, and a 20 percent gratuity is added for parties of six or more.
