Contemporary Music Center

Contemporary Music Center is a music school and instrument store in Haymarket, with a second location in Chantilly. Lessons are offered in 27 private instruction studios, and the school is known for its Rock Camp, which runs for kids learning to play in a band. The store sells and repairs instruments, sheet music and method books, and rents instruments.

Lessons are arranged by signing up through the website. The 4410 performance space at the Haymarket location hosts student recitals and live shows, and the store has been named a NAMM Top 100 Dealer in multiple years. Hours are Monday through Friday afternoons and evenings and Saturday midday to late afternoon, and the business has been operating since 1989.
