The Arc of Washington County

The Arc of Washington County is a private, nonprofit local chapter of The Arc of Maryland, serving adults and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Since 1952 it has offered person-centered programs in which each person sets their own goals, with adult day programs, residential programs, and employment support among its main services.

Adult day services are for people 21 and older and are Medicaid-approved through the state Division of Developmental Disabilities. Families can choose from a menu of options that fit their schedules and service plans. Children and youth have their own programs. The organization is based in Hagerstown.
