Bitner Henry Insurance Group is an independent insurance agency that writes coverage for churches, nonprofits, social services agencies, schools, daycares, camps, sober homes and addiction treatment providers, contractors, and small businesses. It also offers personal lines such as homeowners, auto, flood, umbrella and life insurance. The agency works with more than 18 carriers, so it can compare rates and coverage options for a given organization.

The agency is family-owned and in its fourth generation, led by president Steve Henry with his wife Carol Henry as vice president. Agents are assigned territories within driving distance and do on-site surveys of facilities before writing a policy. The office is at Pennsylvania Avenue in Hagerstown, Maryland, and the agency is licensed in eight states and D.C.
