The Fogcutter

The Fogcutter is a tavern and restaurant that has served the Lake Villa area since the 1920s. The kitchen focuses on skillfully cooked food in a relaxed, fun setting, and the menu is described as varied with freshness and creativity as its guiding ingredients. Breakfast is served on Sundays.

The bar and kitchen keep different hours, with the bar open later than the kitchen on most nights, and guests can dine in or carry out. Karaoke nights are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The current owners, Andrew Davis, Dave Maxwell and KC Maxwell, have run the place since 2006, and the business sits on U.S. 45 in Lake Villa.
