Fairmont Shores

Fairmont Shores is a lakeside restaurant and bar on Fox Lake, serving American comfort food with a focus on fresh seafood. The menu runs from burgers, ribs and fried chicken to gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads and specialty dishes, and the chicken wings are well known around the lake. Happy hour drinks and an extensive cocktail list are part of the draw, along with a gaming room.

You can book a table ahead to avoid the wait, or place an order online. The deck and semi-private rooms overlook the lake, and the restaurant hosts private parties, comedy nights and catering with delivery and on-site setup for larger groups. It is located in Lake Villa, and hours change with the season, so check ahead before you go.
