Al's Dairy Freeze serves classic soft serve in vanilla, chocolate, twist and a rotating Dole Whip flavor, in cones, dishes, shakes, malts and sundaes. The menu is built around Snowstorms, soft serve folded with candy and cookie mix-ins such as Oreo, Reese's and Snickers, and specialty combinations like the Puppy Chow and Key Lime Pie. Slush and freezes, floats, sodas and ice cream sandwiches are also on the board.
The shop is open daily in the afternoon and evening, from noon to 9 PM. It was started by a family who wanted a friendly, fast counter where neighbors and families can gather over soft serve. The shop is at 1200 Northeast Station Crossing Drive in Grimes.
