Slow-cooked gumbo and authentic Cajun foodGreenville, SC

The Lost Cajun serves Cajun comfort food, with gumbo that is cooked slowly for four to six hours and a menu that also includes red beans and rice, crawfish etouffee, jambalaya and lobster bisque. Fried seafood, overstuffed po boys and beignets are regular favorites, and the frozen drinks and peach tea draw praise from diners. The restaurant was started by Raymond Griffin, who first opened a shop in Frisco, Colorado, in 2010.
The restaurant offers free samples, and the atmosphere is casual and down-home. Locations are in Colorado and South Carolina, including Canon City, Frisco, Greenville and downtown Greenville, and the company is franchising. Hot sauce and seasoning blends can be ordered online.
