Duke Sandwich

Duke Sandwich is a sandwich shop known for its house-made spreads, especially the signature pimento cheese, egg salad, chicken salad and the baked ham, pepper and onion spread. The Poinsett Highway shop has been serving the Cherrydale area since the early sixties, and it is one of several Duke Sandwich locations. Sandwiches come on white or wheat bread, toasted or untoasted, and the shop also offers soups of the day, which you need to call ahead to ask about. Orders can be placed online, and the shop takes large catering orders, including holiday orders, through a request form. The shop is open weekdays and Saturdays until mid-afternoon.
