New Generation

New Generation is a nonprofit that provides safe shelter, transitional housing and stabilization services for pregnant women, mothers and children experiencing homelessness in New Hampshire. Residents receive case management, life-skills coaching, parenting counseling and financial guidance to help them move into permanent housing. The organization also runs a thrift shop in Greenland selling gently used clothing, shoes, household goods, toys, books and small furniture, with all proceeds supporting its mission.

Pregnant women or single mothers with children who are homeless or at risk of losing housing can reach out to the organization for help. The thrift shop sits in a New England cottage just off Route 33, easily reached from Interstate 95. New Generation opened in 1987 in a Greenland farmhouse and has been a program of Catholic Charities NH since 2021.
