AsiaBarong

AsiaBarong is an Asian art gallery and import shop that carries ethnographic pieces from across Asia, including Buddhist, Hindu and Taoist deities, garden stone and bronze, wood carvings, masks, puppets and textiles. The owners say the collection holds more than 25,000 pieces, and they can email photos of specific items or commission carvings and sculptures made to order.

The gallery works with artisan families directly and sets prices with them, which the owners describe as a fair trade approach. It functions partly as a museum, a place to spend an afternoon looking and learning, and it is open to families with children. The shop is at 199 Stockbridge Road in Great Barrington, in the hills of Berkshire County, and it ships items within the United States and beyond.
