Nexus Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Nexus is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym led by two black belt coaches who are both full-time special education teachers. Classes run for children ages 5 to 14 as well as adults, from beginners to advanced grapplers. The format moves through warm-up, technique, positional drilling and live rolling, with games for the kids.

The gym is at The REC of Grapevine on Municipal Way, with a private front entrance. The coaches say they keep the room safe, friendly, clean and competitive, and that they aim to build a community where students can step away from everyday life for a while. Check the class schedule on the website before visiting.
