Yesterdog

Yesterdog serves steamed-bun hot dogs in Eastown, Grand Rapids, with six dogs on the menu, including the Ultradog, Cheddardog and Krautdog, plus a veggie option with no dog. The chili and the kraut are made in-house, and the chili recipe is a closely guarded secret. Bill Lewis started the place in 1976, and it has been voted Grand Rapids' best hot dog by local magazines and readers since 1991.

It is counter service with no forks and cash only, though there is an ATM inside. You order the dogs first, then drinks and sides like chips or cookies, pay, and find a seat, with eating in or to-go. Pickup and quick delivery can be ordered online through the app, and catering and bulk delivery are available. The restaurant is on Wealthy Street SE in Eastown, with street parking and a public lot just west of the building, and it stays open late on weekends.
