Wells Orchards

Wells Orchards is a family farm in Grand Rapids that grows apples and peaches and runs a farm market selling its own fruit alongside vegetables, baked goods, jams, jellies and salsa. The farm has been operating since 1919 and uses integrated pest management, spraying as little as possible while keeping fruit quality high.

The farm market is open Monday through Friday from 8 to 6 and Saturdays from 8 to 5, with winter hours starting November 1. Wells also sells at the Fulton Street Farmers Market on Saturdays and at the Grandville Farmers Market on Tuesdays in season, and some produce is sold online through West Michigan Farmlink. The apple harvest runs through October, and the farm has a seasonal pumpkin patch and corn maze. Upick was not available this year, so call ahead about particular varieties.
