Via Design

Via Design is a full-service architecture and interior design firm serving residential and commercial clients. The firm brings architecture, interior design, and furniture selection together in one practice, from early planning through finishing details. Its work is described as tailored to each client, with procurement and installation handled in-house.

The firm began in 1989 as an interior and furniture design practice and grew to add architectural services after principal architect Brian Barkwell joined as a partner. Clients come from across Michigan and beyond. The downtown Grand Rapids studio has a retail showroom and a design library, and new projects usually start with a conversation with the team.
