The Pyramid Scheme

The Pyramid Scheme is an independently owned bar, music venue and pinball arcade in Grand Rapids' Heartside neighborhood, open since April 2011. The front bar has 24 pinball machines, from vintage classics to new releases, plus draft and canned beer, spirits, wine, seltzers and non-alcoholic drinks. The live room behind it hosts bands, comedy and dance parties and has its own full-service bar.

The front bar is always free to enter, even when the back room has a show. Upcoming shows are listed on the website with tickets sold online, and bookings go through the booking page or by email since there is no phone line. Every space in the building is wheelchair accessible, including the stage. The venue is a member of the National Independent Venue Association and also presents events at a few other Grand Rapids venues.
