The Mitten Brewing Co

The Mitten Brewing Co is a baseball-themed microbrewery founded in 2012 by friends Chris Andrus and Max Trierweiler. It pairs handcrafted beers with gourmet pizzas, and its pizza flight is a signature order. The brewery has been named Best Pizza five times by Grand Rapids Magazine and Revue West Michigan.

The original taproom is in the historic Engine House No. 9 in Grand Rapids. Takeout orders can be placed online or by phone. The upstairs dining room can be booked for groups of 20 or more, with at least two weeks' notice, but not on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. The company also runs taprooms in Northport and Saugatuck, a takeout pizza kitchen in Rockford, and its foundation has donated more than $500,000 to local nonprofits.
