Oakdale Bikes

Oakdale Community Bikes is a free, volunteer-powered, non-profit community bike shop in the Oakdale neighborhood of Grand Rapids. It runs a do-it-yourself open shop where people fix their own bikes with free tools and work space, with repair coaching from staff and volunteer mechanics. Used bikes and new and used accessories are sold, and the proceeds go back into keeping the open shop free.

New and used parts are on hand for most repairs, many offered pay-what-you-can. Bike donations are accepted in any condition, and volunteer roles are open to anyone who wants to learn and help. The shop operates as a program of Oakdale Neighbors. Open hours are limited and change with the season, with a shorter schedule in winter.
