HopCat Grand Rapids serves burgers, shareable plates and a long list of draft beers in a historic building on Ionia Avenue downtown. It has been open since 2008 and is the original HopCat location. The Burger & Beer deal on Thursdays pairs a single-patty burger and Cosmik Fries with any draft for one set price.
The dog-friendly outdoor patio is a warm-weather draw, and the restaurant sits a few steps from Van Andel Arena. Weekday happy hours run in the afternoon and again late in the evening, Monday trivia starts at 7 PM, and private events and catering are available. Reservations can be made online, and weekend hours run late.
