Hobbs+Black Architects

Hobbs+Black Architects is an architecture and interior design firm that has been in practice since 1965. The team is made up of licensed architects, interior designers, and planners who design civic, healthcare, food and beverage, learning, retail, senior living, and worship buildings, along with workplace and industrial projects. The firm does not work in a single architectural style, and it puts more weight on the client's identity than on the designers' own.

Clients often bring in Hobbs+Black for facility assessments and master planning, from roof replacement studies and conceptual site plans to full campus plans. The interior design studio has taken on projects ranging from small offices to healthcare facilities. The Grand Rapids office is at 1435 Coit Avenue NE, and the firm also has offices in Ann Arbor, Detroit, Lansing, and Scottsdale, Arizona.
