Munich-style beer hall with Küsterer German-style beers642 Bridge St, Grand Rapids, MI

GR Brauhaus is a Bavarian-style beer hall on the West Side of Grand Rapids, modeled on a traditional Munich bierhall. It brews German-style beers under the Küsterer name, a tribute to Christoph Küsterer, who was the original German brewer in the Grand River Valley and Kent County. The Küsterer beers are brewed under the Reinheitsgebot and contain only water, malt, hops and yeast. The menu includes Munich-style soft pretzels, bar cheese, Leberkäse and schnitzel sandwiches, bratwurst on a bun, and a vegan schnitzel option.
The bar also serves as a small winery and distiller tasting room and a deli. The kitchen's street food menu changes regularly, and the bar is open Monday through Thursday afternoons into the evening, Friday and Saturday from midday until late, and Sunday afternoons. Extended hours are offered for major soccer matches and early hours for Bundesliga games. It is located at 642 Bridge Street NW.
