Café Mamo

Café Mamo is an American restaurant and wine bar in Grand Rapids, inspired by a grandmother's garden. The menu changes weekly based on what local farmers and ranchers have ready, and the kitchen features those producers on every dish. The rolls and half chicken are the only permanent items, so a favorite dish may not return for a while.

The wine list is a draw, with a rotating mix of wines, cocktails, mocktails and beer chosen by the sommelier, and the team recommends sharing a bottle with your table. Dinner is served Monday through Saturday, with happy hour on weeknights, and gift certificates are available by phone or in person. The restaurant sits on the corner of Sweet and Plainfield in a small converted former gas station, in northeast Grand Rapids.
