Artisan Builders

Artisan Builders is a design-build firm in Somerville, Massachusetts, that designs, builds and fabricates buildings, interiors, furniture and lighting for homeowners and commercial clients. It focuses on renovating older houses and adding small, efficient spaces, and its team has worked for about 40 years alongside prominent architects and interior designers. The firm's principal is Robert Caruso.

Projects run from concept through construction under one team, with designers, engineers and tradespeople brought in early to solve the problems common in older houses. Budgets shape the design from the start, and options are presented to fit. The firm favors salvaged materials and local stone and wood where possible. Estimate requests are handled through its contact form.
