Maine State Golf Association

Maine Golf is a statewide nonprofit association that has led the growth of golf in Maine for more than 100 years. It includes over 120 member golf clubs and more than 126,000 amateur golfers. Its work centers on junior golf, including First Tee of Maine, PGA Junior Leagues and Youth on Course, along with course rating, handicap services and championships.

The association is building the Alexa Re Rancourt Golf Learning Center in Freeport, a $3 million complex with a clubhouse, pro shop, snack bar, indoor classroom, indoor simulators, a Top Tracer driving range and a nine-hole short course. The learning center is scheduled to open sometime in 2027. Birthday parties and private events are offered, and youth scholarships help families who need support.
