Waterfront lobster rolls and family whoopie pies since 1970South Freeport, ME
Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster Company is a family-run seafood restaurant on the South Freeport waterfront, known for its lobster rolls, Maine shrimp, clams and scallops. The Coffin family has operated it since 1970, and it is known for homemade desserts made from family recipes, including its whoopie pies. The menu also includes grill items for guests who prefer something other than seafood.
Diners can eat in the dining room or at covered picnic tables overlooking the harbor and the fishing boats unloading their catch. A separate Lobster Pound sells fresh cooked lobsters, steamed clams and corn on the cob, and live lobsters can be taken home. The restaurant does not accept credit cards, though an ATM is on site. Guests are welcome to bring their own beer or wine. The restaurant is at the end of Main Street on the wharf, a short drive from L.L. Bean.
