The Sparrow Café

The Sparrow Café is a non-profit, pay-what-you-can café in downtown Fort Wayne that serves hot and cold sandwiches, soups, salads and sides made fresh by local chef Lindi Miller. The weekly menu changes, with a rotating set of soup specials such as chicken velvet and shrimp bisque, and desserts are made in-house each day.

Guests choose whether to dine in or take their meal to go, then pay a suggested donation, give a minimum donation, or work a 30-minute volunteer shift in exchange for a meal. Volunteers are welcome on a regular or occasional basis. Lunch is served weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 450 West Washington Boulevard.
