Prairie Dog Pros

Prairie Dog Pros is a prairie dog removal and extermination company in Fort Collins. Its main work is controlling prairie dog colonies with carbon dioxide cartridges placed in burrows near structures, aluminum phosphide tablets applied directly into burrows, and baiting programs, which the company says often reach better than 95 percent control of a treated colony when applied in winter and early spring. Pre-control surveys are done before any aluminum phosphide work, as the product label requires.

The company serves landowners, developers, farmers and ranchers, homeowners associations, parks departments and local businesses. Quotes are flat-rate and can be requested online or by phone, and a service professional arrives at a scheduled time. The owner is a US Army veteran, and the business is licensed by the Department of Agriculture, fully insured and background checked.
