Country Squire Modelers

Country Squire Modelers is a club of enthusiasts who build and fly radio-controlled model airplanes. Established in 1958, the club has flown at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport since the 1960s, using paved runways over the northeast corner of the park. Members and their guests fly on an AMA-sanctioned field under a special use permit from the Connecticut DEEP.

The club has an open membership, so anyone interested can reach out to join. Flying requires a current AMA membership. Monthly meetings take place on the second Monday at 7 pm at the East Norwalk Association Library on Van Zant Street in Norwalk.
